This tool doesn't calculate the texel density of your scene, instead, it will put a 512x512 texture on all renderers in the scene based on the size of your textures and material tiling.
(rectangular textures and uneven tiling are also taken into account)
This way you can quickly view which objects have too much or too little resolution, or even stretching.
