The Open Recent Scene extension is a productivity tool for the Unity Editor that enables you to quickly open and switch between the scenes of a project. Scenes are generally presented in the order that they were opened most recently. Various shortcuts and User Interface buttons provide access to scene-related features.
Features
Some of the things you can do with this Unity Editor extension are:
- View a list of all scenes in the project,
- Load a scene from the list,
- Combine scenes by additively loading a scene into another scene,
- Start playing any scene and return to the current scene after completion, and
- Quickly find or select scenes in the Project window.
- Provided with full C# source code, if you're curious, but no coding is needed; just use it!
Unity Versions
Most recently tested on Unity 2017.1, but also on Unity 3.5 through 5.6, compatible with all Unity editions (including Unity free, Unity Pro/Plus and Personal Edition).
Usage
To access the Open Recent Scene dialog, simply press the Ctrl+Shift+O hotkey on PC or Cmd+Shift+O on Mac, or use the File | Open Recent Scene menu item. Once the dialog box is visible, several shortcuts and buttons can be used to access your scenes, which are documented in the read-me file and summarized in the help dialog-box.
