The soundtracks have been carefully composed using a combination of virtual instruments from the Middle Ages and live instruments such as drums, recorders and classical guitar (emulating the sound of a lute) to ensure historical accuracy. The melodies and general sonority are based on extensive listening of pieces of music composed around the 10th and 11th century and on research of early medieval music harmony.
In this pack, you will find:
1- A random music generation scriptswith a classical guitar (lute) mood. In the free pack, there are only 4 different samples to loop randomly from.
2- Seven full pieces of music (all of which come in both loopable and non loopable versions). The pieces entitled "folk dance" are rendered directly from the random soundtrack generator script available in the full pack.
3- 3 different chimes to underline events like a victory, defeat, a click on a button and the likes...
4- A couple of ambiance sounds all loopable.
5- As a bonus, a few medieval sound FX.
Regarding file formats, all of the sound FX and Ambient sounds are in *.WAV format in highest quality.
The chimes, full soundtrack pieces and the guitar samples are in *.OGG in 192 kbps quality.
