9 free stylized skyboxes for Unity, 3 from each of our sky packs: nebulae and planets, golden hour, storm, moonlit night, alien worlds. Ready materials and a demo.Uses Unity's built-in Skybox/6 Sided shader (no custom shaders). Tested in Unity 6000.0.84f1 in a Built-in 3D project and a Universal 3D (URP) project: demo played, all 9 skies shown, 0 Console errors. HDRP: no ready materials (the PDF gives Unity's HDRI Sky steps, untested by us).Try our skies free: 9 stylized skyboxes, 3 from each of our sky packs, so you can see them in your own scene before you buy. It has three space skies (Teal & Magenta Nebula, Ringed Gas Giant, Supernova Remnant), three outdoor skies (Golden Hour, Thunderstorm, Moonlit Night) and three alien worlds (Ringed Giant over Ocean, Volcanic Ash World, Tidally-Locked Terminator).Every sky comes ready to use: a Skybox/6 Sided material (Unity's built-in shader, no custom shaders) with its six 512x512 PNG faces already assigned, plus a lossless 2048x1024 PNG panorama for Skybox/Panoramic or a Cubemap. Each material's Rotation is preset so the sky's main feature (the nebula, the planet, the sun, the moon) is in front of a camera looking along +Z, the default direction of a new camera. The cube faces join without visible seams; every edge was checked by script. Uploaded from Unity 6 (6000.0); see the render pipeline table for what was tested. To use a sky, drag a material into Window > Rendering > Lighting > Environment > Skybox Material. Or open Demo/Demo.unity, press Play and use the Left and Right arrow keys to step through all 9 skies.Free to use in your games and apps under the standard Unity Asset Store End User License Agreement.Where each sky comes fromSpace Skyboxes: Teal & Magenta Nebula, Ringed Gas Giant, Supernova RemnantStylized Sky Skyboxes: Golden Hour, Thunderstorm, Moonlit NightAlien Worlds Skyboxes: Ringed Giant over Ocean, Volcanic Ash World, Tidally-Locked TerminatorAll 52 skies of the three packs, with 1024x1024 faces, are in our paid Stylized Skybox Collection on the Unity Asset Store. The sampler uses the same folders and material names, so a sky you try here keeps its name there.AI disclosure: the skies were generated by procedural code written with an AI coding assistant (Claude, by Anthropic); no photos and no image-generation model were used. Details are in the Created with AI field.LimitationsThe images are 8-bit sRGB PNG (LDR), not HDR or EXR, at sampler size (512x512 faces, 2048x1024 panoramas). Clouds are stylized and flat, not volumetric, and the skies do not move.Render pipelines: Built-in and URP tested in Unity 6000.0.84f1. What it made: the Python code of our procedural sky generators, the C# demo script, the demo scene and material files, the PDF documentation, the README and this store text. The 9 sky images are produced by running that generator code; no AI image model, photo or scan was used. What we added beyond the raw output: each sky is checked by script for seams between cube faces, the panorama wrap and face orientation against Unity's panorama mapping; we also look at every sky before release.
