A ready-to-use local achievement system for Unity with customizable uGUI prefabs, instant and counter goals, unlock popups, profiles, and JSON persistence—no backend required.Tested in Unity 6000.3.12f1 on macOS Editor: Built-in clean import and URP 17.3.0 UI rendering. Requires uGUI, TextMeshPro and TMP Essential Resources. Demo: Input Manager (Old) or Both; for the new Input System, use InputSystemUIInputModule. HDRP, other Unity versions, standalone/mobile/WebGL builds and disabled Domain/Scene Reload are untested.Add a clean local achievement system to your Unity game without setting up a server or external service.Achievement Service includes ready-to-use list and popup prefabs built with TextMeshPro and Unity UI (uGUI). Create a ScriptableObject catalog and report progress from a small C# API, then display achievement progress and unlock notifications immediately.Key features:- Local JSON persistence under `Application.persistentDataPath`- Instant and counter-based achievements, with optional hidden details until unlocked- Separate achievement progress for each local profile- Queued unlock popups and filterable achievement lists- Dark, Ivory, Neon, and Pixel list and popup prefabs- Runtime and Inspector-based skin assignment- 28 sample skin sprites across four visual themes- Demo scene, sample catalog, and editor debugging tools- Clear, offline Markdown documentation- Full readable C# source code- No account, subscription, analytics, or internet connection required at runtimeImportant limitation: this is a local, device-side achievement system. It does not provide cloud sync, anti-cheat, cross-device progress, or platform SDK integrations such as Steamworks, Game Center, or Google Play Games. Local JSON files are editable and are not secure storage for purchases or competitive rewards.Games report achievement conditions and integer progress through the API. Automatic condition rules and localization middleware are not included; catalog and UI text can be configured in your project.Requirements:- Tested with Unity 6000.3.12f1- TextMeshPro and Unity UI (uGUI)- Import TextMeshPro Essential Resources if they are not already present- The demo uses Input Manager (Old) or Both. For new-Input-System-only projects, replace the demo EventSystem input module with InputSystemUIInputModule. The Unity Input System package is otherwise not required. No third-party content is bundled with this package.Technical details- 1 demo scene with 4 sample achievements: Instant, Counter, and Hidden examples- 5 service/popup prefabs and 5 achievement list prefabs- 1 reusable item prefab and 1 demo panel prefab- 28 sample skin PNG sprites: 8 at 512 x 512 and 20 at 512 x 96- 18 C# scripts across Runtime, Editor, and Demo- 3 assembly definitions for Runtime, Editor, and Demo- ScriptableObject catalog with IDs, icons, categories, and sort order- Unlock, AddProgress, SetProgress, query, save, and reset APIs- AchievementUnlocked and ProgressChanged events for custom responses or optional platform bridges- All / Unlocked / Locked list filters, completion summary, counter progress bars, and category filtering from code- Configurable popup timing, labels, animation, and optional audio; edit-mode skin previews- Local JSON saves with profile isolation, batched counter saves, immediate unlock saves, temporary-file writes, backup recovery, and corrupt-file quarantine- Default save path: `Application.persistentDataPath/GrowthSoftware/AchievementService/achievements_default_.json`- Built-in / URP / HDRP compatible by design; Screen Space - Overlay uGUI content with no render-pipeline-specific component or native plugin- Tested in Unity 6000.3.12f1 on macOS Editor: Built-in clean import and URP 17.3.0 runtime capture- HDRP, other Unity versions, standalone players, mobile, and WebGL have not been testedOpenAI Codex assisted with portions of the C# implementation and with the creation of editor tooling, automated tests, and validation utilities. It also assisted with English documentation, Publisher Portal copy, and deterministic Photoshop scripts used to create the layouts and export the final marketing images. The implementation includes profile isolation, backup recovery, configurable skins, and a runnable demo. Release validation recorded 33 EditMode tests, 7 PlayMode tests, and 7 clean-import tests passing. Unity Asset Store Tools reported 35 passes, no failures, and one static-variable warning, documented in the reviewer note.No generative AI model is included in or used by the package at runtime. No AI image-generation model was used to create the package assets or final marketing artwork. UI screenshots show the included Unity prefabs and demo; key images use standard Photoshop layers.
