Build living game economies with visual production chains, dynamic local prices, factories, consumers, trade routes, and autonomous cargo traders.Macro Economy & Automated Trade Engine (Macro Economy ATE) is a data-driven economy simulation toolkit designed for strategy games, colony builders, space trading games, and RPGs. It provides the tools to create production chains, local markets, factories, consumers, trade routes, and autonomous traders without building the simulation from scratch.Visual Production WorkflowBuild and manage production chains in a custom UI Toolkit workspace:Create commodities and recipes, and connect inputs and outputs visually.Configure production quantities, batch durations, and group/annotate chains.Search and highlight upstream or downstream dependencies.Rename, duplicate, inspect usages, and safely delete definitions.Validate the economy setup before entering Play Mode.Local Markets & Dynamic PricingEvery market maintains its own inventory, target stock, storage limits, treasury, and prices. Prices react dynamically to:Current and target stock levels.Supply and demand pressure, and recent market flow.Configurable bid/ask spreads, price floors, and ceilings. This allows the same commodity to have different prices in different regions, creating natural trade opportunities.Custom ScriptableObject pricing policies.Production, Consumption & AI TradersFactories consume complete input batches and commit outputs atomically, while consumers create continuous demand.AI-controlled traders analyze connected markets, cargo capacity, available money, route duration, fees, risk, and expected returns to:Select profitable commodity and market combinations.Buy lot-aligned cargo and pay operating costs.Travel, sell into destination inventories, and influence local prices.Recover or reroute when a destination becomes unavailable.Editor, Extensibility & RequirementsThe toolkit includes a Production Graph Workspace, Live Economy Monitor, Static Validator, and responsive runtime debug overlay. Built on ScriptableObjects, it includes full C# source code, public APIs, save game snapshots, and customizable pricing models.Samples: Three scenes covering production basics, regional trade, and a three-region integrated economy.Requirements: Requires Unity 6000.5.3f1 or newer. No third-party dependencies.Limitations: Evaluates direct outgoing routes (no multi-hop pathfinding). The runtime dashboard is for debugging, not a final game HUD.Technical SpecificationsCompatibility: Unity 6000.5.3f1 (targets 6.5+) or newer. Compatible with Built-in, URP, and HDRP (contains no pipeline-specific code).Dependencies: No required dependencies. Optional support for com.unity.ai.navigation (2.0+) and com.unity.test-framework (1.1+).Package Type: Full C# source code included. ScriptableObject-driven architecture with UI Toolkit editor tools.Included Tools & SystemsEditor Tools: Production Graph Workspace, Economy Preview, Runtime Monitor, Pricing Policy Editor, Static Validator, and Quick Start generator.Runtime Systems: Local market inventories, dynamic pricing (bid/mid/ask), atomic production, continuous consumer demand, autonomous traders (with route fees, risk, and rerouting), save snapshots, and Unity Events/APIs.Samples: 3 showcase scenes, a shared economy database, a debug overlay, and a route-disruption experiment.Validation, Documentation & LimitsValidation: Passed 35 Edit Mode tests and 34 Asset Store Tools checks. Clean import with no compiler errors.Documentation (English): Guides covering setup, pricing, AI trading, saving, and API extensions.Limitations: Traders evaluate direct routes only (no arbitrary multi-hop pathfinding). Preview mode does not reconstruct scene-placed routes or traders.OpenAI image-generation tools were used to create some package and marketing artwork, including the cover, card, icon, and promotional backgrounds. OpenAI ChatGPT was also used to assist with limited editing and refinement of parts of the C# source code and documentation. The AI-assisted code was reviewed, integrated, and tested by the publisher. The package does not include or require an AI/ML model or AI service at runtime.
