A collection of over 55 game-ready rocky coast assets designed to take advantage of the full suite of features offered by Unity 6 and the HD Render Pipeline. Supports Universal and Built-In.After importing package, follow DRI_README.txt instructions located in Assets\VIVID_Arts.Asset Supports:Unity 6Unity 2022.3 LTSHigh Definition Render Pipeline, Universal Render Pipeline, and Built-In.After importing package, follow instructions in DRI_README.txt.Dritv鱈k - Basalt Coast is a collection of over 55 game-ready assets built from the ground up to take full advantage of the High Definition Render Pipeline. These assets were captured with photogrammetry on-location in Dritv鱈k, Iceland, a dramatic coastal area on the west side of the Sn脱fellsnes peninsula, and Cape Alava, Washington, the westernmost point in the contiguous United States. This collection has been built with much love and care, and it's with great pride that it's released so that many others may experience these amazing locations.Features a large coastal environment, Alden's Landing, carefully designed with FPS gameplay in mind. With nearly a full kilometer of playable shoreline, assembled and set dressed by hand, this map truly captures the scale and natural mystery of the real-life locations which inspired it.If you need asset support or have something cool you'd like to share, join the VIVID Arts Discord Server! I'm happy to help you out or take a look at the awesome things you've made!Check out the Unity 6 Demo Builds for HDRP, URP, and Built-In! The HDRP version runs between 100 and 140 FPS at native 4K on an RTX 4080, with graphics features like Adaptive Probe Volumes, Screen-Space Global Illumination, Screen-Space Reflections, Volumetric Fog, Tessellation, GPU Resident Drawer, and GPU Occlusion Culling all enabled.IMPORTANT: To install, first import main package from Asset Store, then import included Render Pipeline-specific package. See README file after first import for full installation instructions (VIVID_Arts\Dritvik\README.txt)Store page screenshots were captured in HDRP. Use HDRP in your project for best quality. URP and Built-In render pipelines are also supported, but quality will be lower due to the nature of the render pipelines. Before purchase, download the example builds and explore the world in each render pipeline to decide if these assets are right for your project!Pack includes:A fully-realized environment scene as showcased in store page screenshots, video, and demo builds.8 mid-to-large sized basalt formations.5 mid-sized embedded rocks.2 mid-sized closed rocks.4 small closed rocks.5 large-to-huge sized cliffs.5 closed driftwood logs.19 tileable surface scans/terrain layers. And more!Package includes optimized HD Render Pipeline Asset and Universal Render Pipeline Asset. Use these in your project for best quality/performance, or use your own.All included assets are setup with LODs. LOD0 is designed for high visual fidelity when viewed at typical first person distances, with a compounding 60% polygon reduction for each following LOD. This results in high fidelity when close-up, but with strong reduction at medium and far distances.Example polygon counts:Alava_EmbeddedRock_03 - LOD0: 5,535 / LOD1: 2,213 / LOD2: 885 / LOD3: 353DRI_Formation_01 - LOD0: 9,000 / LOD1: 3,599 / LOD2: 1,439 / LOD3: 575DRI_Formation_02 - LOD0: 10,001 / LOD1: 3,999 / LOD2: 1,598 / LOD3: 638DRI_Formation_08 - LOD0: 17,006 / LOD1: 6,801 / LOD2: 2,719 / LOD3: 1,087DRI_Formation_07 - LOD0: 39,999 / LOD1: 15,998 / LOD2: 6,399 / LOD3: 2,559Some similar assets, such as driftwood, are efficiently UV packed together in large atlases. This allows for more efficient batching and less wasted texture space. All materials and terrain layers are fully PBR. Tiled textures are imported as 4096x4096. Rock formations make use of Bent Normal maps for improved specular occlusion. Some large formations may include Base Color maps as large as 8192x8192. All secondary maps are downscaled appropriately in the texture importer, or sometimes natively outside of Unity, to reduce memory and size on disk. Most assets use Detail Maps for improved visual fidelity up-close and to allow for base textures to be downscaled if needed.Adaptive Probe Volumes are used in HDRP (Unity 6 and 2022.3) and URP versions (Unity 6 only). All assets are set to probe-lit and do not receive lightmaps. However, cliff and rock formation assets feature custom lightmap UVs for use cases that require lightmaps. For maximum flexibility, all custom lightmap UVs are suitable for a minimum Lightmap Resolution of 8. Lightmap UVs match between LODs, making lightmap sharing between LODs an option if you choose.Assets feature optimized shadow caster meshes for optimal real-time shadow casting. Shadow caster meshes are made custom for each LOD and have approximately 80% fewer triangles compared to the base meshes. In HDRP, many assets feature tessellation for improved visual fidelity when viewed up-close.Only native Unity shaders are used in HDRP version. Custom shaders are included for URP and Built-In render pipelines for improved parity with HDRP. Custom shaders for URP are made with Shader Graph while custom shaders for Built-In are made with Amplify Shader Editor. In HDRP, the native HDRP water system is used in example scene. Shader Graph and Amplify substitutes are included for URP and Built-In, respectively. The HDRI sky asset was created in Blender with the Cycles render engine.
