See the Unity Getting Started guide to learn more about working with Vuforia in Unity.
Get started with advanced AR rendering techniques using Occlusion Management and Vuforia, the world’s most widely used AR platform. Vuforia makes it easy to develop cross-platform apps for the latest handheld and head-worn devices and powers over 80,000 apps including titles from EA, Square Enix, LEGO, Activision and more.
The Vuforia Rendering sample provides a complete Unity project showing how to implement advanced rendering features in an augmented reality scene using Vuforia. At run-time you can choose from the options in the menu.
One scene shows how to use shaders on the background video texture of an AR scene in Unity. The shader employed will render the video background in black and white and implements a touch handler that distorts the video where the user touches the device screen in a ripple effect.
The second scene shows how to create the illusion that content is being rendered inside of an object. This example uses a Vuforia Multi Target in the form of a box that is rendered as though it is transparent, showing an astronaut inside.
You can find a PDF to print this target in the Editor/Vuforia/ForPrint folder of the sample. Print the PDF, then cut out the target image and fold it into a box to evaluate the sample.
