Think of any good Medieval RPG, Western Adventure Game, or Horse Racing Simulator. What would they be without mankind’s trusty equine companions? Without horses, RPGs are tedious, and your Western game would quickly become something more of an 1800s poverty simulator! Horse Racing Simulators without horses, well, I guess they might then become a foot race? Either way, the point is this: people don’t like walking around in real life. Why should your awesome bipedal characters be any different?
If you're looking for a good start to adding horses to your low poly worlds, then this asset pack will put you on the right track. On a clean, stylized low poly mesh, it features 5 base body textures that can be mixed and matched with either a black or white mane, forelegs, and tail, providing you with a healthy variety of appearances!
This horse pack also contains several animations for walking (backwards included), trotting, cantering, and galloping. All of these are split into two animations for extended and collected gaits at each stage. The canter animations are availible in both the left and right lead. To add a little more life to the horses, dozens of eye, leg, head, and nose animations have been included. They can be setup easily with a layer mask for additive and override blending, providing hundreds on unique combinations.
