The 7 Segment Display is a virtual device much like the real world. The display can be used in any scene for any purpose that requires one or more seven segment LED numbers. Typical uses including clocks, key pads, high scores, number boards, exchange rate information and metric systems.
The display can be fully driven by third party components, and comes documented with an API. Customisation of the device can also be performed straight from the editor. Display colors, dim and back-face coloring can also be performed among other options.
The most important feature of this product is the ability to use any alpha-numeric textures, not just for 7 segment displays.
For added value, the package also comes with a colons LED display for use in chronometers, clocks or other devices needing the (:) symbol. Like with the 7 segment display, it too can be driven programatically and customised in the editor.
The package is optimised for frequent use of displays - many displays up to 1024 can be used before performance declines and is robust in its class.
The textures that define the digits can also be edited, styled and changed to suit all tastes. With simple grouping, a number of displays can be self contained, complete with their own data drivers and color scheme so you have complete control over the seven segment display units.
