Everyone knows 5.1 surround speaker systems. AmbiPlay is the visual equivalent.
AmbiPlay is a Unity plug-in, primarily for first person games.
With AmbiPlay, the gamer can use his Android devices to get a new immersive gameplay experience through surrounding lights. This plug-in gathers lighting conditions around the player character in real-time and transmits those to Android devices in the local network. The smartphone or tablet uses its screen to light the room around the player.
The player needs:
• the Android app AmbiPlay Light Source
• AmbiPlay Settings for Windows to setup the light sources
• and a game that uses the AmbiPlay plug-in: Demo. (You need the AmbiPlay Settings and AmbiPlay Light Source app to test this.)
