This pack contains a «von Lahnstein Class Cruiser» with weapons and equipment.
Intended for game, realtime, or background use. It can be used in space RTS games or as an end boss in a sidescroller game. It can also be used in a top-down shoot’em up. Model polycount and texture size is more appropriate for mobile game.
Model details and texture resolution may be insufficient for first person type of game, where the camera comes close to the model.
Model info:
- MESH: Cruiser hull; 3 types of turrets: large, medium and flak; 6 types of equipment: torpedo, missile, torpedo launcher, missile silo, antenna and fighter launch bay.
- MESH CUSTOMIZATION: Huge variety of mesh customization: Build your own legendary spaceship by placing weaponry where you want. Make ships with unique combat role.
- TEXTURE: 7 pre-made texture sets. Each set contain specific color scheme.
- PREFABS: Pack include ready to use prefabs for all texture sets: blank hull, equipment set, turrets set, separate blinking lights and one Armed Cruiser (blank hull + weapon placement). Antenna and Large turret have additional prefabs with blinking lights attached.
Textures:
- PBR textures for Unity 5 Standard shader. (metalness setup)
- 2048x2048 texture size: albedo, metalness (with gloss in alpha), normal (OpenGL), ambient occlusion and emissive maps in .tga file format.
- All textures created in sRGB color range. (however, asset can be used in linear color range too).
- This pack use 3x 2048 textures: cruiser hull - full texture, equipment (torpedo, missile, torpedo launcher, missile silo, antenna and fighter launch bay) - full texture, turrets (large, medium and flak) - full texture.
- I provide additional Source Photoshop files in (.psd) format with every aspect of detail on separate layer for easy detail modification. (Modification tutorial included!)
Animation:
- moving parts were detached in single meshes and linked.
- all meshes have reasonable pivot points.
- all turrets have animated rotation on 90 degree right\left and back. Large turret can raise barrels on +15\-15 vertical degree and back. Medium and Flak turrets can raise barrels up to 60 degree in 15 degree increments.
- radar on Large turret have unique scan animation.
- sight on Large turret have looped rotation animation.
- all turrets have firing animation (recoil).
- missile silo have сap with opened and closed animation.
- blinking lights animation on antenna tip and large turret antennas.
- ready for additional animation – animation in fbx meshes are separated on individual clips with appropriate names. All animated meshes have animation controllers assigned. Animation controllers have imported animation with appropriate names.
Extra notes:
- The model is fully unwrapped by hand.
- Model was not intended for subdivision.
- No third-party renderer or plug-ins needed.
- The model is mostly symmetrical, but Cruiser Hull have unique UV, so you can avoid text or decal mirroring.
- All models have 0 rotation.
If you need to rotate\scale\translate animated meshes please pick and change top hierarchy object only. This object usually have name with «_animated» suffix. Changing lower hierarchy objects parameters may broke animated rotation or other animation.
