This is the 2nd iteration of the available Robot Arms I. The more sofisticated robust variant, with a energy slot, special wrist-, thumb- and pinky finger-bones, and a display on the left lower arm.ROBOT ARMS II VRThe 2nd Video shows the arms in a Meta Quest 2 project I created using a VR arm system with ellbow correction from the Unity Asset Store, which now can be found free on github. Link provided below! ;) If you watch closely you will see the display on the left forearm has real UI elements, which made interactions in the game possible. Also, check out:Robot Arms I Packageand Pistol & Blaster VR Package, which were made for the arms!UPDATE 2.0:2nd Dark Texture Skin addedFixed metal shine on limb bones (was too dirty)Summary:These arms were optimized for Quest2 performance level and above! The texturing & unwrapping was done on a single material/texture, to prevent further draw calls for mobile VR systems. The wrist, the thumb and the pinky finger do have a special bone, for more human realism. Doesn't feel stiff! The texture of the display is without any baked UIWas tested and works great with the free Unity addon [VRarmsIK], which has till now the best elbow correction system ever invented. And it’s free too! However, I tested these arms with this system and it was an amazing result. The arms are not connected to a “chest” bone, to be able to switch arms in runtime. ;) You can get the Unity VRArmIK system on github: https://github.com/dabeschte/VRArmIK1x MaterialPBR Textures 4k+8k: URP/Built-inBoth arms = under 8000 Polygons, about 4000 eachGame ready!1x MaterialPBR Textures 4k+8k: URP/Built-inBoth arms = under 8k Polygons, about 4k eachProduction ready FBX file = not triangulated > quads!
