HDRP mechs, weapons, and cockpits. This package contains modern, high-definition versions of the mechs, cockpits, and weapons originally included with the Retro Mech Simulator game kit, for use with Unity's High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP). These graphics can be used for upgrading Retro Mech Simulator to HDRP, or for other projects not based on Retro Mech Simulator. This kit includes 2 mechs with 6 skins each, 1 cockpit for each mech, 4 autocannon variants, 4 laser variants, 3 missile launcher variants, and 1 railgun. See the Technical Details section for more information on the specific assets in the package. While the meshes and textures have been significantly overhauled for a modern visual style, they are still based on the original designs from Retro Mech Simulator, and are relatively low-poly by modern standards.Existing owners of Retro Mech Simulator, please read: I am hoping to eventually release a fully HD version of Retro Mech Simulator which will include these and other modernized graphics, at a higher price than the current price of RMS. Owners of RMS would be able to upgrade to the HD version by paying the price difference. However, I don't think it will be possible to set up an additional discount for users who have already bought this stand-alone graphics package in addition to RMS, so you might want to wait. Please bear in mind that I can make no promises at present as to if or when the full RMS HD package might be released. This graphics package does include the necessary prefabs and settings files to use these HD assets with Retro Mech Simulator (you will still need to convert the RMS project to use HDRP; please note that I cannot offer official support on converting RMS to use HDRP).Please note that materials and textures are for the High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP). URP and Built-In Render Pipeline are not officially supported, but you most likely can use the meshes and textures in URP after creating new URP materials. Two mechs, each with the following:One model with 13 body part meshes (torso, canopy, and waist, plus left and right shoulders, thighs, calves, heels, and toes), two LODs for each body part. The Bull has some additional detail meshes (e.g. handles), also with two LODs.Six 4096x4096 base maps (plus one 2048x2048 base map for the cockpit glass)Two 4096x4096 mask maps (plus one 2048x2048 mask map for the cockpit glass)Two 4096x4096 normal mapsSix materials for the different paint jobs, plus one material for the cockpit glass. Two cockpits, each with the following:One model with four meshes (frame, dashboard, canopy, and glass). Two 4096x4096 base maps (plus one 2048x2048 base map for the cockpit glass)Two 4096x4096 mask mapsTwo 4096x4096 normal mapsOne material for the frame/canopy, one material for the dashboard, and one material for the glass.12 weapons (4 autocannon variants, 4 laser variants, 3 missile launcher variants, 1 railgun), each with the following:One model with 3 - 4 LODs.One 2048x2048 base mapOne 2048x2048 mask mapOne 2048x2048 normal mapOne material3 demo scenes (Mech Gallery, Weapon Gallery, and a simple Outdoor scene for demonstrating the cockpits).Bonus assets:Metal tread plate texture (4096x4096 base/mask/normal maps)Work Lamp mesh and texturesTriangle counts:Bull LOD0: 27,484 trianglesWasp LOD0: 4,892 trianglesBull Cockpit: 18,357 trianglesWasp Cockpit: 29,460 trianglesFor most weapons, LOD0 is ~1,500 - 2,000 triangles. Additionally, I have included a UnityPackage with prefabs and settings files compatible with the Retro Mech Simulator game kit (these are only functional with separate purchase of Retro Mech Simulator).
