Model Maker is a modeling tool based around the use of 2D shapes being extruded over 3D paths (lines, splines and circles). The model making process works in both editor and runtime and can be saved to disk.
Additionally you can add several components and tweak settings to further customize the model.
These include
- Custom 2D shapes Define your own shapes to be extruded, either through animation curves or data containers
- Scale curves Change the scale of the shape in two axes as it moves over the spline.
- Indentation Create a little indent on the end of the path or create fully hollow meshes
- Edge style Soft edged, Hard edged, etc. Which will also reduce the amount of vertices and triangles generated if possible.
- Dynamic Resolution Either automatically or manually assign areas on your model to receive extra edge loops, increasing visual fidelity only where needed
- UV settings Control the uvs generated for channels 0 and 1
