Need a way to authenticate your users other than password entry?
The Fingerprint Authentication plugin for Unity can help you with a cross-platform fingerprint authentication solution.
What does Fingerprint Authentication do?
Fingerprint Authentication authenticates users of your game by comparing their fingerprint with the fingerprints stored in the device's store of fingerprints.
For iOS, Fingerprint Authentication uses the Touch ID authentication system integrated in all iDevices running iOS 8 or greater with a TouchID sensor.
For Android, the Fingerprint Authentication plugin integrates with the native Android Fingerprint Authentication API available on devices with fingerprint sensors running Android Marshmallow or higher.
Great for Unity games and apps that hold confidential information, have a login system, or need a way to make sure the player is who they say they are.
What the Fingerprint Authentication plugin offers you:
- A cross-platform Fingerprint Authentication solution
- The choice to use a pre-built native Android Activity or to customize your UI for Android Fingerprint Authentication
- Extremely simple integration with documentation and examples included
PLEASE NOTE: Currently, for both Android & iOS in order to work, the Fingerprint Authentication plugin requires a fingerprint sensor (TouchID for iOS).
For iOS iOS: iOS 8.0 or higher is required.
For Android: API Level 23 (Marshmallow) or higher is required.
