This is the LITE version of AI Designer PRO, but still powerful enough for most cases. LITE contains most combat features of PRO. PRO has many advanced AI capabilities essential to commercial game development. If you are unsure which one you need, please download the evaluation version and try it out. AI Designer Pro also has a free evaluation version.
The LITE version does NOT have these features from PRO:
- Built-In Dialogue System
- Adv Ranged Attack System (only basic)
- Advanced Jump Behaviors
- Throw behavior (e.g. grenades)
- Some tactical behaviors (Flee, etc)
- NPC Needs (e.g. thirst, hunger)
- NPC Goals (custom jobs such mining gold, chopping wood, capture flag, etc)
- Less tutorial scenes
- Non-combat related advanced features
- Updated not as often
LITE users can upgrade to PRO for a discount at any time.
Fast Workflow:
1) Drag raw model to scene.
2) Click "Create AI"
3) Tweak factions, weapon slots, other parameters, custom behaviors
Done.
Integrations w/ Third-Party Assets: Unique event system and Unity's SendMessage makes Third Party integration very straightforward. Includes simple tutorials for third-party integration and specific tutorials for UFPS and Invector's Third Person Controller. Should work with any Mechanim model on the Asset Store.
Experience Needed? You need a basic knowledge of Unity (prefabs, gameobjects, animations, colliders, Mechanim setup, etc). Most things are done in Unity Inspector, so no new windows or node editors to learn. Optional C# beginner knowledge needed if you prefer coding.
