Get started creating AR experiences in everyday environments using Vuforia, the world’s most widely used AR platform. The Vuforia Ground Plane sample provides a complete Unity project showing how to attach content to horizontal surfaces in the real world. Ground Plane enables digital content to be placed on the ground, floor, or tabletop, providing an ideal solution for you to build visualization apps, ranging from in-home furniture shopping to AR design reviews.
This sample demonstrates how to create anchor points in the environment using hit-testing and positional tracking. It implements two interactive modes that enable users to scan their environment and place content.
You'll see how to attach content to anchor points and how to control the lifecycle of the Smart Terrain and Device Trackers. The Ground Plane sample can easily be modified with your own assets to present custom content and UI elements.
Be sure to install Vuforia Augmented Reality Support within the Unity Download Assistant or XR Settings. Then activate Vuforia in your project’s XR Setting.
