Jump AssetStore

Animate your Unity particle system to full motion video. When triggered Particle Swarm will take control of your particles by mapping them to an invisible 2D display panel area to re-create the frames of the video as it plays.

Create your own videos to use or select from thousands royalty free online. Comes with easy to use video file utility which compresses down and prepares your video file (note ffmpeg required*) ready for Particle Swarm to use.

- A range of options to select the definition of the video image via height and width.

- Adjust to allow particles to map to the dark or light areas of the video by selecting above or below a pixel intensity value.

- Selectable frame rates. Optional Initial frame delay for allowing particles time to move from their initial positions to the first frame of the video.

- Speed and Force functions to vary the forces applied to the particles to drive them towards the mapping positions or explode away at the end.

Note Unity 3D only.

* ffmpeg is a freely available utility required to convert your video file into a file suitable for further compression by the supplied video clip converter utility.
