This is a set of medieval-fantasy themed square 2D map tiles drawn in a rich and evocative digital painted style. Use these tiles to build maps for adventurers to explore and empires to rule! The key assets of this package are transparent-background PNG files which should work with pretty much anything. An example scene made using Unity's Tilemap system is included. This is a set of lovingly hand-painted 2D medieval/fantasy square location tiles provides an evocative landscape upon which to build an RPG campaign, a video game overworld, a strategy map, or boardgame-like experience. Every pixel of this asset set was hand drawn by myself, personally, so there is no risk to you of copyright infringement. Additionally, you get the satisfaction of supporting a working artist.(This set contains single variations of most of the land types I've drawn, so you're good to go with just this pack, but I do recommend purchasing my "Tile Basic Set" if you plan to make extensive landscapes.)Overviewexpands upon my basic terrain assets for those interested in making medieval-fantasy themed games125 tiles (over 63 unique location types, some on different terrain types, some with multiple variations)painted at 256x384 pixels so that towers, mountains, and trees can overlap the tiles behind can be used in a square grid or staggered faux-hex style grid includes 44 road tiles (16 direction types with 2-4 variations per type)includes 228 "decor" sprites which can be placed on any background terrain texture (these include versions of the hex locations with the underlying terrain removed)Location types includedfarmland (with burned versions); also includes silo, barn versionsvillages; includes wood, thatched-roof, and burnt-down versionsmany castle & stronghold variations, some ruined; some built of stone, some of woodpyramids & desert ruinsoasisgraveyardmarketplacechurchwindmillsmithyinnforester's cabinwalled citymines, caves, gated dwarven minestonehengetemple & ruined templehalfling villagenecromancer's towerlava-filled caveelven lodge... and many moreYou are provided with transparent-background png files of all the tiles drawn on a base grid of 256x256 px.
