He had the capital moved to Hanyang during the fourth year of his reign (1395). Its name, literally meaning “great fortune,” originated with a phrase of Sigyeong (Book of Songs), quoted by Jeong Do-jeon, an eminent scholar in the Joseon Dynasty: "I've already drunk and have been full with virtue, so I will help you get great fortune in my late year as a man of virtue.”Yeongchumun Gate of Gyeongbokgung 영추문This is Yeongchumun, the west gate of Gyeongbokgung. Officials who worked in government offices inside the palace usually entered through this gate. Early in the Joseon period, a prince’s uprising occurred inside Gyeongbokgung. This prince was resentful of his half-brother being designated as the crown prince and so he planned an uprising. The prince and his group held many secret meetings, and the members are said to have entered the palace through this gate. One king, known as a tyrant in Joseon history, loved to hold lavish banquets at Gyeonghoeru. In order to prevent people from coming in, he is said to have blocked up even this west gate. He would then entertain himself by sailing on boats in the pond. Its structure is as follows: the substructure was constructed higher than that of a palace wall. The gate is pierced through by an arch, topped with a tower. When necessary, sentinels climbed up to the tower. They utilized stone staircases, one at the right and the other at left. The staircases incline so steeply that one feels as if the person were climbing a ladder. However, railings are installed in consideration of safety.Leaving the staircase, one reaches a side entrance which is connected with a wall along the edges of the substructure.Features:complex of YeongchumunNumber of Unique Meshes: 151Collision: YesVertex Count: 8 - 142,106LODs: NoNumber of Materials and Material Instances: 76Number of Textures: 193Texture Resolutions: (32*32, 1024*1024, 2048*2048, 4096*4096)Supported Development Platforms:Windows: (Yes)Mac: (No)
