This is the 2nd iteration of the available Robot Arms I. The more sofisticated robust variant, with a energy slot, special wrist-, thumb- and pinky finger-bones, and a display on the left lower arm.ROBOT ARMS II VRThe 2nd Video shows the arms in a Meta Quest 2 project I created using a VR arm system with ellbow correction from the Unity Asset Store. If you watch closely you will see the display on the left forearm has real UI elements, which made interactions in the game possible.UPDATE: The grey screenshot shows the latest textures with a bit more dirt! These arms were optimized for Quest2 performance level and above! The texturing & unwrapping was done on a single material/texture, to prevent further draw calls for mobile VR systems. The wrist, the thumb and the pinky finger do have a special bone, for more human realism. Doesn't feel stiff! The texture of the display is without any baked UIWas tested and works great with the free Unity addon [VRarmsIK], which has till now the best elbow correction system ever invented. And it’s free too! However, I tested these arms with this system and it was an amazing result. The arms are not connected to a “chest” bone, to be able to switch arms in runtime. ;) You can get the Unity VRArmIK system on github: https://github.com/dabeschte/VRArmIK1x MaterialPBR Textures 4k+8k: URP/Built-inBoth arms = under 8000 Polygons, about 4000 eachGame ready!1x MaterialPBR Textures 4k+8k: URP/Built-inBoth arms = under 8k Polygons, about 4k eachProduction ready FBX file = not triangulated > quads!
