Easily integrates with your project to allow custom cutouts of images, or you can reduce your images pixels for better RAM performance, especially useful on mobile devices.
I first began constructing parts of this asset when I was creating my game, Flappy Balls for android. First, I wanted to turn my phone's images into a circle, so I worked out a simple algorithm that could do so. After that, as I set up the game to allow more and more images I quickly began to realize the size of the pictures just wasn't going to work. All these photos were at a massive size of 2048 x 1024 pixels! This shot the RAM up very quickly, dropping frame rates like crazy! With the algorithms provided in this asset I was able to calm down the RAM, and turn the rectangle shaped pictures into a circle.
After finishing my game I decided to package these algorithms together, as well as a few more. This package contains enough algorithms for you to cut out circles, squares, ellipses, and even your own custom cutouts!
My favorite part of this package is its ability to help contain your RAM usage. If you have a game that receives heavy usage from large photos, this asset is perfect for you.
