Add more control to your games with 3D gestures! If your device has an accelerometer or gyroscope, you can detect simple jerks or gestures from the user. Your app can then react however it wants! For example, in a game, your player might kick a ball, knock an opponent to the ground, or move a game piece around. Your imagination is the limit.
Currently this asset detects linear gestures/jerks in three dimensions. It does not support complex gestures like circular motions or combined gestures.
Features
- Detects linear gestures/jerks in three dimensions.
- Adjustments for sensitivity, deviation angle, max. duration, etc.
- Ignores “wind-up” and “cool-down” movements that users add unconsciously.
- 3 coordinate systems for reporting gestures: device, worldXZ, and worldXYZ (explained in the documentation).
- Works best with a gyroscope/accelerometer combination, but can function with only an accelerometer. (In this case, worldXYZ isn’t supported.)
